ImgBurn

Original Name: ImgBurn
Webpage: http://www.imgburn.com/
Latest Version: 2.5.0.0
Available for MAC?: No.
Available for GNU/Linux?: No. But it runs without any problem under Wine. (Tested)

Here it comes once again. ImgBurn is the best FreeWare Disc Burner out there. It supports CD, DVD, DVD-DL, and even HD-DVD & BR, so it's the only tool that you should need for burning your discs and for many other uses, instead of having tons of other tools.

ImgBurn Main Menu

Once loaded, you can see that image in where you can select the mode and the use you want to do. The main uses are as follows:

- "Write image file to disc". One of the most used, i bet. A single click, then selecting your .img/.dvd/etc source, and burn it directly to your DVD/DL/etc.

- "Create image file from disc". The opposite option from the first one, it allows you, from a desired media, to create an .iso file. Disc ripping is it.

- "Verify Disc". Simple disc verification against an image file, or just for media errors.

- "Write files/folders to disc". As usual, backup making of your music/videos/etc.

- "Create image file from files/folders". The previous step of burning an image. This creates an .iso image from the files you want to.

- "Discovery". This is quite an interesting option. It allows you to check the quality of your burning device so you can know the final quality of what you are producing.

Once that you have finished any job, you can directly get a Graph Data in where you have the main data explained so you can check if everything has gone ok.

Now let's see the cool things. It autodetects if your media will be a music/xvid/etc, and auto-adjusts the settings for it; if you are making a backup from a .dvd file and you don't select it; it autoselects it if found; it attachs a log in where it explains every process that is being made; creates .cue/.dvd/.mds files if needed with the Tools option; allows you to define special drives/devices and set the speed you want to use; ...

Oh, and almost forgot! It randomly adds a funny quote at the bottom of the main window at start, lol. An example: "Oh, I feel so deliciously white trash. Mummy, I want a mullet!" bwahahah.

Anyway, you can download it here.

Have fun with it! It hasn't give me any problems since i first used it. And till now.
